With their work Dusk Heats, the authors rethink heritage and abandonment as two closely related phenomena, addressing the multilayered industrial change of Lentvaris.
Invoking stories related to physical labour and industry, the artists create a situation in which the scattered artefacts of Lentvaris’ industrial history meet at roadsides or settle in cars and in the nooks of closed facades. Abandoned or extant, adapted to the sooty exhausting heat, they are listening to the roar of bulldozers, intoxicated as if before the end of the world.
