Wir müssen noch DVDs abgeben

Wir müssen noch DVDs abgeben is the first group exhibition to be shown at the Zentrale. Zentrale is a communal, creative space where anything is possible and everyone is invited to participate in the creation of something new. The title of the exhibition refers to the former video store, soon to be demolished, and focuses on artworks that explore new possibilities of digital cyberculture, provoked simultaneously with the disappearance of the DVD medium. 16 young, emerging artists allocated within Berlin’s subculture are show- ing works concentrating on socio-critical, dystopian perspectives and explore themes such as the accessibility of public spaces, representation, and community building. Through a variety of media, including sculp- tures, video installations, paintings, and per- formances, the exhibition seeks to challenge the barriers of Berlin’s art scene and make it more inclusive and accessible. The exhibition is curated by Elise Steilen.
