Brush; time, space, space
Gps tracking devices, custom-made box units with hand-painted enamel signery, wooden structures, 3D resin print of gps routes with a third time-axis, digitally generated watercolour paintings of gps routes with a third time-axis, risograph prints of gps routes with a third time-axis, model houses, model house manuals, cardboard boxes
Brush; time, space, space, a topographic investigation presented as a composition of representations of temporal and spatial process. Some representations generated from data, harvested from GPS units attached to custom made box units, put into rotation in postal infrastructure. The GPS data generated representations containing a third-axis representing time. This is hinting towards the field of Time Geography (TG), a transdisciplinary perspective on spatial and temporal processes, developed at the university of Lund, by swedish geographer Torsten Hägerstrand in the mid 60’s. TG is a method of schematically illustrating movement and time. The GPS data representing the movements in time and space of the box units is rendered into digitally generated watercolour paintings, 3D resin prints and risograph prints.
Wooden structures carry information. Together with piles of model houses they form an abstracted representation of a city topography. Interacting with the infrastructure of the room. The model houses are presented in boxes they were shipped in. Model house manuals are mounted to the custom made box units.
